SERA-IEG-14 Meetings

2003 Meeting

The 2003 meeting was hosted by the University of Tennessee and was held on September 16-18 in Clarksville, TN. An informative vineyard and winery tour took the group to Hall’s Fruit Farm in Portland; the Red Barn Winery & Vineyard in Lafayette; and Beachaven Vineyard & Winery in Clarksville. The group was provided an administrative report from Justin Morris, and Tom Bewick gave an update on national programs. Brief individual research reports were presented by state representatives and a SERA-IEG 14 business meeting was held to elect new officers and discuss planned activities. Justin Morris was presented with the “William Nesbitt Award” in recognition of the tremendous contributions he has made to grape production and winemaking in the region, nation and the world.
